Meeting Minutes 1/10/2012

posted Jan 11, 2012 11:05 AM by Georgia Tech Equestrian Club

Hope everyone had a great break!

SOCIAL/CLOTHING
- We are now required as a team to work out once a week.
- Ali will send out an email regarding times during which people are available.
       - It'll be awesome and fun so don't be intimidating! We will be doing stuff to help with your riding
- We're planning on having a beginning of the semester dinner soon, so look out for that email as well
- Ali will also send out an email to order jackets. They're pretty awesome and have your name on them.

BENEFIT SHOW
- Please sell ads/donate silent auction items/etc!
- If someone buys a T-Shirt add, it should be in by the end of the month so we can order the shirts
- ^Same goes for ads that will be in the programs

SHOW CLOTHING
- If you need show clothing, please tell us! We have clothing for you and funds to buy some new team clothing.

BUDGET/CREDITS
- We will not be using PayPal for lessons anymore. We are spending more money than we are taking by using PayPal.
- You will need to pay your trainers when you go out to the barn. Credits/Hotel/GTEC clothing will still be done through the invoice system.
- We will send out emails about once per month to let you know how many credits that you might have.
- We are provided an SGA budget for travel expenses to shows. For drivers, if you provide a gas receipt from filling your tank for our travel, that money can be reimbursed.
- Don't forget to tip your drivers for travel to lessons! Just $5 can go a long way in helping your drivers feel better about driving everyone out.

APD
- If you're interested in going out to the APD, email Katie to be put on the mailing list.

SHOW SEASON
- UGA (English) 2/11-2/12
- Judson (Western) 2/18-2/19 <--Same weekend as benefit show
- Berry (English and Western) 2/25-2/26

PREMIER THOROUGHBREDS
- Want to go ride off the track thoroughbreds? You should contact Elisabeth Deeb (edeeb14@gmail.com)
- Barn in Milton, GA. About 40 minutes North.

Meeting Minutes 12/6/11 (Last Meeting of the Fall 2011 Semester)

posted Jan 3, 2012 10:38 AM by Georgia Tech Equestrian Club

Please pay your invoices soon if you have not done so. (They are due this weekend!)

Also, you will not be allowed to ride on credits over Christmas break. If you will be going out to the barn, please bring cash or check to pay for lessons until next semester.
Please try to lesson over Christmas break and get excited for more shows next semester!

Sell ads for the benefit show, it's only a couple of months away (Feb. 18-19), so get working!
Email details about selling ads to Camila or Jessica. Camila will be going out of the country before next semester, so anything about the benefit show should be directed towards Jessica or Aly after December.

For the benefit show, Western riders have sign-up priority for Thursday and Sunday since they have a show the same weekend.

GTEC is gaining publicity through interviews for the Daily Digest and an article being posted in the Technique. Also, we will be on the news soon for involvement with the APD. Yay!

Elections will be held in February for our officer positions in order for new officers to learn about the position, so start thinking about if you might want to be an officer next year.

If anyone knows anyone who is interested, or is interested themselves, in joining the team and competing, please contact Emily Tomlinson (dreamchaserfarms@aol.com) and Katie Geddes ASAP so that we can get paperwork done before next semester.
